Gavin 10 Months

Gavin is 10 months old.  We love having this little happy dude in our family and couldn't be happier to watch him grow and learn.  Here are some things he has been learning this month!

•   Gavin tried his first Cheetos and a Creamy today.  He LOVED both and was covered in it.  When the Creamy was gone, he got all mad and cried and screamed.  He has a little temper that is starting to show!  Patrick ended up getting a pitcher of warm water and washing him off outside. June 1

• He LOVES being outside.  What kid doesn't?!?  He would live outside if we let him, but is into everything crawling around so it is kind of hard to be out for too long.

• Crazy sleeper still.  He has now managed to stick his feet/legs/arms out of his crib all the time.  I always find him like this or with his little bum sticking straight up in the air.  June 4

• Gavin has NO FEAR.  He will crawl onto Ellie's bed and then slide off head first.  Right now he has 6 bruises, one of his little bum cheek!  June 6 
• Here is another bruise from a fall he took.  He has a lovely little shiner from this one.  June 7

• He is obsessed with the bathroom, or the toilet paper roll.  He thinks it is hilarious to unroll it as fast as he can.  June 8, 2013

• Gavin still LOVES Ellie so much!  She is such a great big sister and is always helping him get something, or playing with him.  He really likes to pounce on her.  This morning they were playing on Grandma Brown's chair.  He thought it was so funny to be sitting/standing on Ellie and 'squishing' her.  She thought it was pretty funny too.  June 10

June 26

• He likes to sleep all cuddled in his blankie and usually has it by his face.  He is also really cute and will cross his little ankles all the time!  June 10

• He has been learning somersaults and when I ask him to do a somersault he will go right down and tuck his head under.  He will laugh and laugh when he is flipped over and want to do it all again.  June 19
• Gavin is starting to try more and more to walk.  He will go from a squat to standing without holding onto anything now.  June 19
• Tried to take a step and succeeded with one little step before falling.  June 20
• He is starting to say more and more words.  He said hi on June 21st and can now say, Ellie, more, mama and dada.  He loves to make noise and is just a happy little guy.
• Gavin is a super sleeper too.  He will fall asleep by himself in his crib and just knows when he is ready for bed.  He will get super giggly when he is really tired too and kind of clumsy.  It's really cute.  June 21
• Gavin is a great eater and will try most things.  He is more concerned about shoving the food in and being as messy as he can:)  He tried avocado for the first time and it was a big hit.  He looks like he has green paint all over his face.  June 23

• Gavin started walking on June 25.  He took 5 whole steps before going down.  In the next couple of days he has become a pro.

• He is a super strong little guy and is so wiggly.  He wants to go all the time and go by himself.  When I go to pick him up he has started going limp and trying to wiggly out of my arms.  It's super hard to hold him. June 26
• Even though it likes to move and go by himself, he is also very loving.  He likes to sit and cuddle with me or Ellie, especially with a little bowl of snacks.  June 8
