Cornbelly's Halloween Fest

 We went to Cornbelly's for there Halloween stuff this year and it was AWESOME!  I totally recommend it to everyone.  They had so much stuff and lots of stuff for little kids.  Ellie loved it!  I love her cheesy grin in this picture and how cool is the huge chair!?!

 She thought it was strange...and then funny to milk the cow.

 They have a huge jumping pillow that was really cool.  There were tons of people on it at once and it took a bit for Ellie to get used to it, but she had a really fun time.  I thought it was really fun too:)

 We watched some pig races.  I was shocked that these pigs will race around and go so fast!

 We took a tractor wagon ride.  Gavin did really well for being hauled all over the place:)

 

 And...we got a deep fried Twinkie.  As gross as they sound, it is delicious!  I almost wanted to go back and get another one!

 I wish we would have made it to the princess section earlier.  It was getting dark and cold by the time we got there, but it was really cool.

 They had a bunch of princess dresses and a stage that little girls could play on.  Ellie twirled and twirled!

I'm so glad we decided to go and we will definitely be making this a yearly tradition.

Gavin-2 Months

We had Gavin's 2 Month appointment on October 29, 2012.  He is doing very well and growing like crazy!  He weighed 14 lbs 9 oz and is in the 96 percentile for weight and is 25 1/2 inches and in the 99 percentile for height.  I can't believe how fast my little guy is growing and how tall he is.  Dr Alba suggested he be the Hulk for Halloween:)  Gavin got his first set of shots today and did really well.  He got sleepy later on just like Ellie did and really hasn't been too ornery with them.  He did cry a bit more with her, but I think it may be the nurse that gave them.  He did it pretty slow and held his legs tight so he was flexing them.  I thought it was pretty funny to that when they gave him the oral vaccination he kept gagging.  He has a really strong gag reflex.  A few things that Gavin is doing right now are.

Ellie got her flu shot too.  She did amazing! and only cried for a second.  Then she was telling everyone that shots don't hurt and loves her bandaid.  That night she proceeded to give us all shots over and over:)

• October 1, 2012 He tried his first sucker...Thanks to Ellie, Gavin had a little bit of sucker:)  I was putting away groceries and he was asleep in his car seat.  She comes running in to tell me he is awake so I went in and find his mouth very sticky.  I asked her about it and she said she shared with him.  She is really great at sharing...we did have a little chat about what babies can eat:)
• October 2, 2012 Gavin laughed in his sleep tonight.  I love it!  He has started to smile when we look at him, but not a lot.  He is a very happy baby and so content.
• He is making noised and realizing when he does make the noise and tries to do it again.
• He focuses like crazy.  He is really good at this and will follow you if you aren't going fast.
• He eats every 3 hours and we are trying to get on a little schedule.  Gavin usually eats around 7:30-8pm and then us asleep until 2-3am and back to sleep till 6-7am.  He is doing really well with sleeping.  On October 13, he slept from 10:45pm-7am!
• October 23, 2012 He found himself in the mirror and just kept staring.

 Gavin is so much fun and I love having him.  It has been an adjustment and we are still adjusting to having 2 kids, but loving every minute.  Ellie loves Gavin like crazy and always wants to be with him or asks where he is.

Halloween Fun

We've had a great time this month doing lots of different activities and crafts.  Here are A LOT of pictures of everything.  We decorated pumpkins with some cool sticker faces.  I found them at target in there cheap bins.  Great deal-October 3, 2012

Made awesome Bats and Ghosts. Ellie loves painting and this one was really fun.  It was a bit of work, but they were so cute hanging from the doorway.  October 3, 2012

I told her to make sure she didn't touch her face with her hands...She accidentally put the brush on her lips and it was so funny I had to get a picture.

We made these yarn pumpkins with yarn and glue...rather I made them.  Ellie did not like the sticky all over her fingers:)  They turned out really cute.  October 18, 2012

I was trying to find things to do in Orem area since this is our first year here and I found this pretty cool Pumpkin Walk.  It was nothing like the pumpkin walk in Logan, but it was still really cool.  They have a carving contest and just have a garden area by UVU that they are all set up at and you can go and walk around.  And if you dress up, you get a donut:)  Here are some of our favorite ones.

 It was crazy how ornate some of them were.

 We have had a great month and found lots of fun things to do.

Carving Pumpkins and Pumpkin Walk

We were able to head up to Logan and go to the pumpkin walk with The Hales and Derrick.  We went up Friday night and carved pumpkins and had yummy treats(I made baked pumpkin spice donut holes that were delicious), then stayed at the Hales and headed to the pumpkin walk the next day.  We had a really great time.  I miss Logan tons and am not going to lie, I shed a tear or two on our way in and out of Logan.  Thanks for letting us stay with you Steve and Lacey:)

Saturday, after a yummy pancake breakfast, we headed over to the pumpkin walk.

 They always have carved pumpkins all around the walkway.  Here is Derrick with the pumpkin he carved for FHE.

 I loved these little spiders.  And of course the cute little Ellie:)

 They had a ton of great scenes this year.  Wipeout!

They had a cool toy room look and find.  It was fun to look and try to find the list of items.

 They always have a witch at the end before you get a cookie.  Ellie was a little apprehensive, but Ivy helped her to not be scared.

Ellie was in heaven having Ivy around to play with.  It was cute that they were both dressed in orange and black.
