Halloween Fun

We've had a great time this month doing lots of different activities and crafts.  Here are A LOT of pictures of everything.  We decorated pumpkins with some cool sticker faces.  I found them at target in there cheap bins.  Great deal-October 3, 2012
Ellie always wants Gavin to be in pictures with her.  So cute!  I think they were looking at my mom in this one.

Made awesome Bats and Ghosts. Ellie loves painting and this one was really fun.  It was a bit of work, but they were so cute hanging from the doorway.  October 3, 2012
I told her to make sure she didn't touch her face with her hands...She accidentally put the brush on her lips and it was so funny I had to get a picture.
We made these yarn pumpkins with yarn and glue...rather I made them.  Ellie did not like the sticky all over her fingers:)  They turned out really cute.  October 18, 2012
I saw these and loved them.  Ellie really liked being able to put the glue on and play with the q-tips. Q-tip skeletons-October 16, 2012
The famous Jack O Lantern Pizza from Papa Murphys-October 16, 2012
Grandma Brown from this awesome monster cupcake! October 13, 2012
I love this picture because it shows how warm it was during October.  We were still playing in the pool most of the month.  Here is Ellie making necklaces with Patrick.  Another Target find.  October 3, 2012

I was trying to find things to do in Orem area since this is our first year here and I found this pretty cool Pumpkin Walk.  It was nothing like the pumpkin walk in Logan, but it was still really cool.  They have a carving contest and just have a garden area by UVU that they are all set up at and you can go and walk around.  And if you dress up, you get a donut:)  Here are some of our favorite ones.

It was crazy how ornate some of them were.
 Very creative!

We have had a great month and found lots of fun things to do.

Carving Pumpkins and Pumpkin Walk

We were able to head up to Logan and go to the pumpkin walk with The Hales and Derrick.  We went up Friday night and carved pumpkins and had yummy treats(I made baked pumpkin spice donut holes that were delicious), then stayed at the Hales and headed to the pumpkin walk the next day.  We had a really great time.  I miss Logan tons and am not going to lie, I shed a tear or two on our way in and out of Logan.  Thanks for letting us stay with you Steve and Lacey:)

I had to get one with the funny faces...
 Ivy and Ellie's set up
 October 20, 2012
Saturday, after a yummy pancake breakfast, we headed over to the pumpkin walk.
They always have carved pumpkins all around the walkway.  Here is Derrick with the pumpkin he carved for FHE.
I loved these little spiders.  And of course the cute little Ellie:)
They had a ton of great scenes this year.  Wipeout!
Nacho Libre
They had a cool toy room look and find.  It was fun to look and try to find the list of items.
Madagascar
The Hunger Games-they had a whole bunch of the different scenes
We had to make sure to get a few pictures being characters
I love that the only one she really smiles at is with Yoda...

They always have a witch at the end before you get a cookie.  Ellie was a little apprehensive, but Ivy helped her to not be scared.
Ellie was in heaven having Ivy around to play with.  It was cute that they were both dressed in orange and black.
 Saying goodbye
We stayed a bit longer to let Ellie get some energy out at the park
And Patrick too;)
The Hales let us use there house for the afternoon for naps before we headed home.  Don't they look comfy!
We had a great time and are glad we were able to spend time with friends.

Off to see the Witches

October 17, 2012.  We made our annual trip to Gardner Village to see the witches.  Ellie even dressed up in her Halloween costume and got many comments on how cute she is!  I agree!!!
She was a little apprehensive with the first witch and made sure to stay close to me.
Ellie really loved this one.  There was a cat and mouse running around her and she thought it was hilarious.
 Flying witch
Baby buggy witch
It was great because they had a petting zoo and pony ride this time and Ellie loved it.  She wasn't at all hesitant and ran right up to pet each animal.
She got to sit on an alpaca...how awesome is that!?!  The little brown one is a baby and they are really soft.  I was surprised to find that there fur is a few inches deep.
Riding on the cool swing
She absolutely loved the bunnies.  She was so excited to be able to hold one
This was the little pony she sat on while waiting for her pony ride
Riding on the pony like a pro.  She loves 'horsies' and the guy that led them was so funny.  There were two going at once and the other one had a little boy on it.  He kept joking that they were on there first date.
I really like that they have "The Witches" every year and think it is a fun tradition.  Glad we were able to make it and that the weather was good for us.
