It's Snowing!

Yesterday(Nov 5, 2011) we woke up to snow. I have been super excited to be able to show Ellie the snow and see what she thinks about it. We all slept in a little late....7:45am, but when we came downstairs and looked out the window, Ellie got this excited look on her face and kept saying ooooaaahhh. We decided that even though we were all in our jammies, we would bundle up and head out for a few minutes. She loved it. Instantly put it right in her mouth....I thought that was a little strange, but playing in it was also a big hit.She also thought it a very good idea to sit right down....we need some snow pants ASAP!Before we went inside, we taught her how to stomp her boots so the snow would come off. It was seriously so cute. She walked all around stomping her feet. We don't have snow boots yet, and am not sure I really want to buy any. We have some brown fuzzy boots, but I hadn't waterproofed them yet....so cowboy boots it is!When we came inside, we had a yummy breakfast complete with hot chocolate! You have to have hot chocolate after playing in the snow....right!?! We went out later that day and bought her some snow pants and gloves to match her awesome purple coat! We are really excited for this season and more fun times in the snow!

Pumpkin Walk and Trick or Treating

On October 24, 2011 we went to the pumpkin walk in North Logan. We love this every year, and it was great again this year. Some of our favorites
Angry Birds-They are taking over the worldDespicable Me-This was by far the favoriteCandy Land-Loved this game as a kidBambi-I love the flowersEllie loved this lady bug, she kept going back to itMickey MouseCinderella-I love that she is eating her cookie in this one. She was so excited to get the cookieHalloween this year was tons of fun. Ellie loved her duck costume and would quack when she had it on. She looked so cute. On the 28th, we had a trunk or treat at our ward. She wasn't quite sure what to think about it all. I think she was a little apprehensive because of everyone dressed up. She did however love to walk around holding her pumpkin bag and get candy. It was so funny because she would get candy and start to walk away, but then turn around for more. She didn't quite get the concept of going to the next car. A few girls in my ward decided to go trick or treating at the mall this year. We had decided that Ellie didn't really need to go out trick or treating in the neighborhood, but at the mall was really fun. There were tons of people and it was a little sad because quite few stores were out of candy and we got there at 4. It went from 2-6pm. Sad for those that came after us. She had a fun time and although there were a few fits trying to get her to keep going around, it was fun. Here she is with her little friends. Dutton Booth, Ellie, Miles and Riley Allen. Ellie had her costume on and was helping to hand out candy when kids would come. It was hilarious, because the first time someone knocked, she was really excited, but then wanted candy in her bag too. She then decided that all of the candy should be in her bag and sat on the floor taking out candy one by one and putting in her pumpkin bag. Ready to goChecking out the lootDancing with Daddy-I love this. She loves Patrick so much and is always so happy when he's home. Dancing a new thing they love doing and she will giggle and giggle.Just had to post this one because it's so cute.I also decided to try a new recipe-Candy Corn Quesadillas. They are really chicken quesadillas, but look like candy corn. They were really yummy and turned out pretty cute.

Walks to the Park

We have spent a lot of time on walks or going to park this Summer. That is what I'm most sad about for Winter to come. No more, or at least not as many, walks and playing at the park. Ellie loves the park and has because so brave and independent. Sept 29, 2011 She loves to climb up the rocks. She can go across the bridge by herself She loves this toy-no idea what it is, some sort of teeter totter?? She will even go down the slide by herself. She is growing up so fast I can't believe it. While on walks, she loves to find every dandelion seeding. She will pick it and either shake or try to blow it off. If that fails, she just picks it apart. On one of our walks, she was on Patrick's shoulders and decided the best way would be to rub it all over in his hair....She got a kick out it.

Pom Poms

A couple months ago, I bought a big bag of pom poms for Ellie to do a project. I only used about 20 pom poms and the rest are in a bag. Ellie found the bag of pom poms and can spend a lot of time each day playing with these. He she is Oct 2, 2011 before conference. She was so proud of herself because she would take them out one by one. If they only went to the first stair, she made sure to, carefully set the bag down and crawl down to the stair to throw it farther. Then go back up and start all over. I thought it was hilarious, because when she first started, I was at the bottom of the stairs and just said her name, wondered what she was gonna do. She ran around the corner and I saw this little arm poke around the corner and throw a pom pom. She just kept laughing and laughing. So cute!

I Saw a Pumpkin before you Did!

We headed to Paradise this year for our annual trip to the Paradise Pumpkin Patch(October 1, 2011). We have been going to this pumpkin patch for 5 years now and love the tradition. We always get some apple cider and find the perfect pumpkins. This year, however, we got there, and the farm had been sold. I think the new owner wasn't aware of just how many people come out to go to his patch, because he decided not to plant pumpkins. I bet he will do it next year. Oh well, we picked up some cider and headed across the street to the patch there. The first year we went, we actually came to this patch also, because the other one was closed for the day. This is a patch that is a fundraiser for the YW/YM in the area.

Our Little Pumpkin-she wasn't quite sure what to think, but she sure loved all the pumpkins!

Family time

My brother, Eric came into town for a few days and Ellie and I made sure to head down to my parents so we could see him(Oct 20-22). She has recently started to be a little more shy and not as willing to just go to everybody. It took her a while to get used to Eric.
She was funny because when he would leave the room, she would follow...at a not too close distance. She seemed a little bit okay as long as he had candy or was taking her outside. She is pretty funny lately like that. I think we need to see him more often:) Maybe we will take a trip to California....
Since I was headed down to my parents, I had to take a craft. I have been in such a crafty mood lately and this is one that I've been wanting to make for awhile. I think it turned out so cute! Love that my mom is always willing to do a craft with me. We had a great time.
