My brother, Gary and Katie and also my sister, Krista came to visit us the weekend right after we came home. It was fun to have everyone there and hanging out to see Gavin. I was a little worried because who knows how my emotions would be, but I really think it helped to have everyone there. I didn't have time to get sad or cry...to much...which was nice.
Sept 1
I loved these jammies and his little tongue that always sticks out
And this outfit-I also love how he is all scrunched up with his hand up to his face
Already loving the bouncer
Aunt Krista
Aunt Katie
Cute Ellie snug as a bug after her bath. I love her smile here.
Sept 2
She wants to hold him all the time. I love that she loves him so much!
Big stretches. I love it when babies stretch, especially when waking up and they stretch and there legs curl up and bums stick out. It's just so cute.
We have Gavin sleeping in a pack n play in our room. He will probably be there for the first few months. I am a little more nervous to put him in his crib, because he and Ellie will be sharing a room. She is so caring that I am afraid she will try to help and give him too many toys or blankets.

We found out in the hospital that Gavin was a little jaundice and we would need to come back the next day(Sept 1) to have him tested. He was fine after just the one day. I was a little worried though because he wasn't pooping and hadn't since the hospital. After 2 days at home I called the dr office and they said it's normal with jaundice because they can't break it down and to watch it and call the next day. He still hadn't pooped and when I called they said it would be okay to wait one more day, but if nothing happened I would need to either bring him in, or help him(by putting something up his little bum) I really didn't want to do that and was so glad that shortly after calling he did it all himself. Then later on he did it more and more and I was shocked at just how much...I guess that is what happens when you hold it all in for so long:) It was really funny because I was changing him and my sis-in-law Katie was there. He just kept going and she had my brother, Gary, run and grab a bag to catch it all. Crazy. Now he poops so many times during the day that I wondered why I was ever worried:)

Sept 3
Uncle Gary-it took a bit of convincing to get Gary to hold Gavin. He was a little apprehensive, but then we walked in to see him like this:)
Ellie LOVES Gary and Kati. I didn't get a picture, but they brought a cute little cupcake apron for Ellie to wear and Katie even made brownies with her. She had a great time!
Patrick was holding Gavin while he slept:) Something about holding a sleeping baby sure makes you tired.
Gavin had his first bath at home. He loved it just as much as in the hospital. He really liked the warm water.
I had to show this picture because it shows just how read his hair is. It is crazy how much being washed and out in natural light shows the redness. I love it!
Sept 4
Went on a first walk with Gavin
Successfully wore him out
Sept 5-1 Week Old
We are taking pictures with Gavin's lion to chart his growth. He are so tiny right now:) He are eating every 3 hours but go 4-5 at night. He is still so sleepy and we just love holding him. It is hard to even want to put him down because it is so great to just snuggle and hold. Gavin is a very happy baby and rarely cry. Ellie loves to hold him and we are so happy he's part of our family.
Had to show a picture of how Ellie was sleeping last night. She loves to use her pillow as a blankie and her blankie as a pillow
